HOUSE 13 Hard Mode Guide

Build an eighteen-night HOUSE 13 Hard Mode plan around thorough visitor checks, sound doors, safe light routes, and role consistency.

Hard Mode is HOUSE 13’s longest officially documented survival route. The enabled Survived Hard Mode Badge names eighteen nights and describes thorough questions and sound doors. Those words reinforce the game’s core visitor and house-discipline loop. They do not publish exact speed, frequency, damage, or unlock changes, so build the plan around consistency and confirm all current rules on the live mode screen.

Hard-ready checklist

Finish Medium’s twelve nights with stable roles and a recorded response to each failure category. Know every relevant window and closet, a primary and alternate lit room, and how routes change when the Nester claims an area. The visitor caller should use a consistent inspection order without relying on one copied visual tell.

Decide the revive policy before the run. Infinite Revives is an official gamepass, but its listing does not say whether revival works in Hard or preserves the survival Badge. If the goal is clean completion evidence, record every revive and use the final Badge result rather than an assumption.

For a squad, assign replacements for each role. An eighteen-night route can outlast a player’s attention or connection. The group should be able to transfer caller, house watcher, or light-route responsibility in one sentence.

Divide eighteen nights into phases

Nights 1–6: repeat Easy

Use the proven short-run routine. Confirm that current Hard prompts and room states match your expectations before adding any shortcut.

Nights 7–12: repeat Medium discipline

Protect callout quality, update routes after claimed rooms, and review only demonstrated weak points.

Nights 13–18: preserve the clear

Avoid experiments and rushed visitor calls. Keep urgent threat responses short and return to standard positions.

Completion proof

Let the final sequence finish and check for Badge ID 373428414752794.

These phases are planning segments, not a claimed event calendar. First-party public records do not list which visitor or threat appears on each night. Use the live server for event order.

Thorough visitor checks

Observe shape, clothing, movement, voice, answers, and the current run context, then use every available question before deciding. The official description explicitly says Impostors copy human form, clothes, and voices. A single familiar detail is not enough, and an old visitor table should not override a contradictory live answer.

The caller states the reason for every decision. Other players report concrete observations and then return attention to their house role. On a long run, avoid letting certainty rise simply because earlier choices succeeded; the evidence standard should be the same on night eighteen as on night one.

Keep doors, windows, light, and rooms readable

The Hard survival Badge mentions sound doors, while the Reacher Badge specifically says a window can be shut until entry. Confirm the state after interacting. Do not run away after pressing a button without seeing that the window or door reached the intended position.

When the Hitcher attaches in darkness, move to a previously recognized lit room. When the Nester is inside a closet, close it. After a room is claimed, keep it off normal routes or use the current rapid-light response deliberately. A claimed room can disrupt both the Reacher route and access to safe light, so announce the new map immediately.

Solo Hard plan

Minimize travel and keep the waiting position near essential routes. Finish one urgent event before resuming another task, and use short notes between nights rather than during warnings. If a room is lost, take a moment to establish the alternate rather than improvising every later response.

Do not rely on Faster Movement to make an unknown route safe. Its official product description gives no percentage or Hard-specific rule. Likewise, Show Impostors may change information but does not advertise protection from house threats.

Squad Hard plan

Use closed-loop callouts: name the threat and room, name the responder, then confirm the result. The visitor caller pauses when necessary but keeps the last confirmed observation. The light-route player monitors whether a Nester state removed safety, and the house watcher does not abandon all windows because another teammate already moved.

Schedule role rotation at known calm transitions if the current game permits it. Repeat the new assignments. If a player disconnects, decide whether to continue only after every essential role has an owner.

Recovery and proof

Classify losses by visitor, Reacher, Hitcher, Nester, communication, disconnection, or unknown event. Tie the report to night and room. If a late loss repeats, compare current prompts and route state before declaring a hidden Hard modifier. Public Badge statistics are not a probability model and should not be used to predict success.

At completion, wait for the result and check the exact Survived Hard Mode Badge. Record party size, revives, and any rejoin. If the Badge does not appear, those facts make a second attempt useful; an unsupported “true ending” theory does not.

What remains unverified

Hard unlock requirements, numerical difficulty changes, visitor and threat schedule, timer changes, save or checkpoint behavior, party scaling, gamepass limits, revive eligibility, and exact final trigger are not stated in public first-party text. Follow current interface warnings whenever they add or change a rule.

Use Threats for entity responses, Gamepasses before purchasing recovery tools, and the Endings Guide to separate survival proof from narrative outcomes.
